Malvin and Lea Bank Postdoctoral fellowship
The JST Program is pleased to announce the availability
of The Malvin and Lea Bank Postdoctoral fellowship. Residence in the
two academic year position will begin Sept.1, 2006. Candidates will
have completed the PhD by August 1, 2006.
The program seeks to engage a scholar whose major research and
teaching interests explore the writings produced by American Jewish
authors, i.e.,a literary historian.
The incumbent will be expected to be in residence, to
conduct research, to offer two undergraduate single semester courses
each academic year, and to participate in the intellectual life of
the University park campus. The annual stipend will be $35,000 plus
health benefits. Candidates should send a cover letter, CV, a one
page statement of proposed research, a detailed description of one
undergrad course the applicant would be prepared to teach, and three
letters of recommendation that address both mature research ability
and excellent teaching abilities to
